Columbia City (Whitley County, IN) is located in the rapidly growing Northeastern Indiana Region. Specifically, we are located twenty miles west of Fort Wayne and twenty miles east of Warsaw on the U.S. 30 corridor.
Our community traditionally has an industrial and agricultural based economy. Although in recent years the Whitley County area has experienced a rapid growth in the area of high technology. For this reason, Columbia City as well as the entire Northeastern Indiana area is currently experiencing a population boom. This boom has had and continues to have numerous effects on our community - one of which is an upgrading in our educational facilities. Indian Springs Middle School is a direct result of that upgrade.
The current population of Columbia City is approximately 8,750. Columbia City is one of the ten fastest growing communities in the state of Indiana.
